Live work you can open,
with credit where it's due.

Every project links to a live site or public preview. Where something is still in progress, or someone else made the art, it says so.

McLaren Z1 — The Last Overture

A concept car presented as a web exhibition, chapter by chapter.

Kyutae Park designed and modelled the Z1 as an independent concept study for his industrial design graduation exhibition at Hongik University. RUTTO built the web exhibition around it: an opening sequence with sound, then scroll-led chapters on the silhouette, airflow, character lines and package, closing as the tail lamps fade out.

NONAME

Five artworks you can step into, not just look at.

NONAME makes 3D images of clouds, blue landscapes and imagined rooms. RUTTO brought five of the works into the browser as real-time WebGL scenes. Each room opens on the original image and wakes into a live scene in the same framing. Some can be turned and zoomed; others can be walked into at eye level.

02 — Expertise

What we design and build.

Four kinds of project we are set up for, each tied to work you can open above.

01

Interactive websites

Sites built around how people move through them. Scroll-led stories, transitions and interface details are designed together with the content, not added afterwards.

Scroll-led narrative / Motion and transitions / Responsive front end

See it in McLaren Z1 →
02

3D & WebGL experiences

Real-time scenes that run in the browser. We prepare assets from Blender, bake lighting, design the camera and navigation, and tune for phones as well as desktops.

three.js / WebGL / Asset preparation and baking / Camera and navigation / Mobile performance

03

Digital product showcases

Launch and showcase sites for physical and digital products: cinematic renders, specification storytelling and full-screen views, plus the product interfaces themselves when there is software to show.

Product launch pages / Render-led storytelling / Product UI and web apps

See it in IYKYK · RUTTO Field →
04

Creative development for brands & artists

Portfolios, archives, release and commerce sites for artists and brands, with the work kept intact and credited to the people who made it.

03 — Approach

From the first question
to the last working screen.

Planning, design and development stay with the same people, so the decisions made at the start are still there in the shipped site.

  1. 01

    Brief and scope

Send what you have: references, assets, constraints and a deadline. Before any production starts you get a written scope with timeline and quote.

    Scope · Timeline · Quote

  2. 02

    Prove the key moment

For interactive work we build the hardest part first, usually the main scene or interaction, and review it in the browser on real devices before designing everything around it.

    Working prototype

  3. 03

    Design and build together

Design and code move in step. You review shared preview links on desktop and mobile, so feedback is about the real thing rather than a static mock-up.

    Preview builds · Responsive build

  4. 04

    Launch and hand over

We deploy, check loading, accessibility basics and reduced-motion behaviour, then hand over source code and accounts as agreed. Ongoing support is scoped separately.

04 — About

An independent studio
that writes its own code.

RUTTO is a web design and development studio in South Korea, founded and led by Jiwon Lee. Jiwon directs each project and builds it too, from the first plan to the shipped code, so nothing gets lost in a handoff.

Working with NONAME

NONAME is an independent digital artist working in 3D images and spaces, and not part of the RUTTO team. On joint projects NONAME leads the artwork and visual direction, and RUTTO builds the web experience. The artworks remain NONAME's. When a project calls for original 3D art, we can suggest working with NONAME, depending on the artist's availability.

Who we work with

Brands, digital artists, creative agencies and product teams who need the build to hold up to the idea. Agencies can bring us in as the development partner behind their own design.

Working remotely

We work in written English and mostly asynchronously, from Korea Standard Time (UTC+9). Calls are scheduled when they help. Reviews happen on live preview links you can open on any device.

05 — Start a project

want to make.

We'll reply by email with questions or a proposed scope.
